When you interact with Language Buddy or save sentences and words, the Chat Information and Language Learning Information are sent to OpenAI via their GPT completions API. This allows us to generate personalized language learning content and to provide real-time language assistance. Please note that this means OpenAI, as a third-party service, will have access to this data for the purpose of providing the mentioned services. We retain this specific data as part of our service records.

When you use the recording functionality to check your pronunciation, we send these recordings to OpenAI via their Whisper speech-to-text API. Please note that this means OpenAI, as a third-party service, will have access to your voice data for the purpose of providing speech-to-text services. We do not retain these voice recordings beyond the scope of providing you with real-time feedback on your pronunciation.
